A Trump victory is seen as a risk to Fed independence: MLIV Pulse

The Federal Reserve will face a significant risk of losing its independence due to heightened political interference if Donald Trump is re-elected president, according to the latest Bloomberg Markets Live Pulse-bsp-bb-link> survey.

Forty-four percent of respondents said they expect Trump to try to politicize the central bank or limit its power if he returns to the White House. Overall, they put the Fed at a 40 percent chance of losing its autonomy under a second Trump administration.
