Celebrity chef sparks Wahlberg mania with visit to Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – Celebrity chef Paul Wahlberg – co-founder of the renowned Wahlburgers chain – is in town to serve as a guest judge at the Hy-Vee Inclusive Business Summit on Tuesday.

Wahlberg visited the Minnesota Avenue Wahlburgers at Hy-Vee on Monday at lunchtime. Shoppers were able to sample Wahlburger’s famous burgers and experience the flavors that have made the restaurant such a success.

Wahlberg also spoke to students and staff at the CTE Academy, hosting a “Kids in the Kitchen” class where aspiring young chefs created culinary delights.

“Very lucky. I fell in love with the restaurant business when I was in high school, and being able to share that passion with people is something that’s really important to me — not only for what we do, but to continue to regenerate and keep people involved. in it because it’s such an amazing deal,” Wahlberg said.

Wahlburgers opened its first Sioux Falls location in 2021 at the Hy-Vee on Marion Road.

Since then, two more locations have opened in the city.
