On May 10, officers responded to a shooting in the 3700 block of Ironwood Drive around 5 p.m.

Reports say the victim told Jackson she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him. This led to a fight in their yard.

When the girlfriend turned to leave, Jackson allegedly shot her in the back. One of the victim’s children told officers he saw Jackson trying to put his mother in his truck.

The three children were inside at the time of the shooting and were not injured. The victim was taken to Regional One and is currently in critical condition, police say.

Records show Jackson was charged with aggravated assault in 2015.

The victim of this incident also filed a police report against Jackson on April 5, 2024. She told police he put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her in front of her third child .
