One dead, two injured after bike plunges into irrigation canal in UT J&K

– A 25-year-old youth died and two others were injured after the motorcycle they were riding skidded on the road and fell into the irrigation canal in Watlar area of ​​Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district late on Thursday evening.

Officials said the incident took place late Thursday evening near Watlar Ganderbal Maternity Hospital when a Pulsar bike with registration number JK05M-4769 skidded off the road and fell into the irrigation canal, injuring two persons and missing one other people.

They said that soon after receiving information about the incident, the rescue operation was jointly launched by the local police, SDRF army and locals, which led to the recovery of the body of the missing youth early Friday morning.

Officials identified the deceased youth as 25-year-old Aadil Manzoor Shah, son of Manzoor Shah, a resident of Nilla palpora Patten Baramulla.

The injured were identified as Mufasil Reshi, 20, son of Mohd Asadullah Reshie and Nasir Nabi Bhat, 22, son of Gh Nabi bhat, both residents of Nilla palpora Patten.

the duties were moved to PHC Lar. From where they referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.

The Lar police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and further investigations have been initiated.
