An 80-year-old woman suffers life-threatening injuries in crash in North Dumfries


A serious collision in North Dumfries on Thursday led to a prolonged road closure and serious injuries to those involved.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the crash happened just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Dumfries Rd. and Greenfield Rd.

A vehicle traveling on Greenfield Rd. was struck by the driver of another vehicle traveling northbound on Dumfries Rd.

Three people were taken to hospital, including an 80-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for approximately 5 hours while officers investigated. It has since reopened.
