State police calls: Ohio woman charged with threatening man in Forest County

FOREST/JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville State Police responded to the following incidents:

Woman accused of threatening a man

Marienville PSP responded to a harassment incident around 3:00 pm on June 15th in the 8400 block of Starling Lane in Green Township, Forest County.

Police say he is in his 60s Debra Jean Burkeyof Youngstown, Ohio, told a known victim that she was going to “kick his (complaint).”

Burkey admitted to threatening the victim when questioned about the incident, police said.

According to court documents, Burkey was charged with the following non-trafficking citation:

  • Harassment/Physical Contact, Summary

Court officials are currently awaiting an application from Burkey.

Investigation of corruption of minors

Officers were contacted to investigate an incident of corruption of minors that occurred on Fleming Hill Road in Harmony Township, Forest County sometime between November 1st and December 22nd.

Police say an investigation determined no criminal activity took place.

The victim was reported to be a 15-year-old female from Hickory Township.

Violation of the PFA

PSP Marienville was contacted to investigate a PFA violation around 3:00 pm on June 1st on State Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the investigation confirmed a breach had taken place.

The arrested person is listed as a 34-year-old Sigel woman.

The victim is a 54-year-old woman, also from Sigel.
