Morgan Fairchild Reacts to Sandra Bernhard’s Apology, Admits ‘Roseanne’ Set Was ‘Difficult’

Morgan Fairchild reacts to Sandra Bernhard’s apology after revealing he wasn’t nice to her co-star. Roseanne set back in the 1990s.

Bernhard recently admitted that he did not have a good relationship with Fairchild on the set of the ABC sitcom. Fairchild appeared in a handful of episodes playing her bisexual friend Marla and appeared in three episodes of the sitcom.

“I am very moved by Sandra Bernhard’s words. Very nice of her,” Fairchild posted on X, the microblogging platform formerly known as Twitter. “Yes, it was a difficult set for me, but that’s show biz.”

Bernhard apologized to Fairchild during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. Host Andy Cohen shared Bernhard’s apology with Fairchild on X to bring it to the fore. Fairchild noted that she already follows Bernhard and said she can DM him “anytime” to suggest “Let’s get coffee.”

On Saturday, June 22, Bernhard saw Fairchild’s post on X and replied: “Thank you Morgan for your kind response to my apology, you have always been a talented and open person and you deserve all the people’s celebration and love with you, their supporter. Who needs it the most, lady, we’ll break it all over a cup of joe ASAP!”

Fairchild followed up and said Bernhard had contacted her, but their coffee date had yet to be set up because they live on opposite sides of the country.

Earlier this week, Bernhard shared WWHL that she had a “goofy attitude” with Fairchild on the set of Roseanne and offered him an apology.

“It’s one of my biggest regrets that I wasn’t nicer to her,” Bernhard said. “I was a bit dismissive of Morgan and to this day I’d like to tell Morgan you’re incredible to work with, you went there.”

Bernhard noted that Fairchild was “fabulous” and “on the right politically,” adding, “I owe you an apology. I adore you. And thank you for putting up with my silly attitude.”
