The Canaries knocked off Sioux City for their third straight win

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Falls put together a strong fifth inning to host Sioux City for its third straight win.

The Canaries improve to 22-14 on the season and sit one game back of West Division leaders Fargo-Moorhead.

Both Wyatt Ulrich and Liam Spence led Sioux Falls in hits with two each, while Scott Combs led the team with two RBIs.

Tanner Brown earned the win for Sioux Falls, throwing six innings while allowing two earned runs while tallying four hits. Brady Stover and Dylan Chalmers came on in relief, collecting three and two hits, respectively.

Sioux Falls and Sioux City wrap up their series on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
