Two teenagers charged in fatal stabbing: Fredericton police

Fredericton police say two 17-year-old boys have been charged in connection with a stabbing that killed a 71-year-old man.

Police responded to a call about a fight in progress that occurred on the 500 block of Union Street on Friday.

Police say they found a victim who was seriously injured in a stabbing. The man was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.

Three suspects have been arrested, including two 17-year-olds, who face charges of murder and second-degree manslaughter.

A 15-year-old boy was also arrested but has since been released.

Police say witness statements and video evidence have helped the investigation, which remains active.
