AFL legend Ben Cousins tackles Jacob’s Ladder near Kings Park

West Coast Eagles champion Ben Cousins took to his new Instagram to show off one of Perth’s popular exercise spots near Kings Park.

On Tuesday, Cousins decided to try out the Instagram Story feature by posting a video after climbing the 242 steps of Jacob’s Ladder.

In the video, the Brownlow medalist said: “It’s hard work Jacob’s Ladder, it’s a terrible morning.”

Then he swung around to show the many stairs and the rewarding view.

The social media update comes after he announced his new Instagram profile and relationship status last week.

His profile has since been followed by over 8000 fans.

Speaking to Mix94.5’s Pete & Kymba last Wednesday, the 45-year-old shot down rumors that he had a partner.

“People think you’re in a relationship! People think that’s what we’re about to reveal because Pete said it’s about a big thing in your life!” Kymba said.

“Would not it be nice?” The cousins laughed.

Pete chimed in, “People think you’re a miss. You?”

“No, no ma’am, unfortunately!” Said the former AFL star.

“Let’s face it, when Ben gets a girlfriend, it’s because it’s going to be our thing! We will make it happen!” Kymba added.

“One hurdle please guys!” the cousins joked.

Cousins has yet to publish his first post on the grid and admitted he was feeling the “pressure” of what to share.

“I feel the pressure of what will be my opening post,” he said.

There have been suggestions that his first post should be one of his abdominal tattoo which reads ‘Such is life’.
