Watkins Glen, NY (WBNG) — Round 6 of the IMSA Sportscar Championship took place this weekend at Watkins Glen International.

Four different classes of cars – GTD, GTD Pro, LMP2 and GTP all took to the track on Sunday afternoon for 6 hours of non-stop racing.

One of those drivers behind the wheel was Tom Blomqvist, who has raced around the world in Formula E, IndyCar and other motorsports, but says that of all the tracks he’s raced at, Watkins Glen ranks high in his book.

“Watkin’s Glen is actually one of my favourites,” said Blomqvist. “It’s a great track, relatively fast, fluid, kind of high commitment. But the track generally has good grip, the cars feel well balanced around here.”
