Letter: “Greed” shifts the blame

We’ve all seen the ads from Senator Casey. In it, Casey argues that high prices are the result of greedy snack corporations putting fewer chips in the bag.

Seriously? Everyone knows that the source of inflation is out of control government spending. Joe Biden, Bob Casey and the Democrats unleashed trillions of dollars of wasteful pork that overheated the economy and drove up interest rates. This is a blatant attempt to deflect blame from their bad policies.

Don’t take my word for it. According to CNN, a recent report by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco “found that rising corporate prices were not a primary catalyst for rising inflation from 2021 to 2022.” Even liberal economists who worked for previous Democratic administrations have acknowledged that overspending is the root cause of this economic disaster.

I won’t hold my breath for all the checkers to run out and tell Casey that his ad is a lie.

People read and…

The truth is, Casey’s “greed” is running out of steam, and fast. Maybe that’s why Casey was recently caught at an event telling Pennsylvanians it was “impossible” to lower prices. Isn’t this the same guy who promised the so-called “Inflation Relief Act” would bring down costs?

Sure, it’s impossible to lower prices, but only if we keep these economically illiterate members of Congress in office.

I will vote for Bob Casey’s recall on election day.
