Hyena attacks are blamed on abandoned quarries, improper disposal of animals

Residents of a town north of Nairobi are experiencing an increase in hyena attacks. In the past four months, wild animals have killed three people, including a 10-year-old boy. The increase in human-wildlife conflict has been primarily blamed on humans encroaching on wildlife habitats. But Juja residents blame improper disposal of animals, among other factors.
