Douglas resident charged in Sunday fatal crash

DOUGLAS, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – A fatal crash occurred around mile marker .5 on WY 91 west of Douglas on Sunday 06/23, the Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified at 8:22 p.m. of a vehicle with two vehicles. rollover accident.

Upon arrival, Troopers located a 2017 Chevrolet 3500 traveling west and a 2017 Ford Edge traveling east. The driver of the Chevrolet 3500 crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Ford Edge.

The driver of the Ford Edge was identified as Justine Crouch, 32, of Douglas, who was injured and airlifted to Denver. A young man in the back seat on the driver’s side was also injured and airlifted to Denver. Another minor in the front passenger seat of the Ford Edge succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet 3500 was identified as Wesley Kersey, 43, of Douglas. Wesley refused medical attention at the scene and was charged with, one count of aggravated vehicular manslaughter, two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with serious bodily injury and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault with serious bodily injury .
