Small people, big world Star Matt Roloff is looking forward to spending the rest of his life with fiancée Caryn Chandler, but the couple may be reconsidering getting married.

In the latest episode of the hit TLC series, Matt, 62, told his friends, including his ex Amy’s husband Chris Marek, about how he feels “petrified” about getting married again. While he said he’s not seeing “anyone but Caryn,” the reality star explained that he’s worried their relationship might change after they walk down the aisle.

While spending a night relaxing at his log cabin, Matt admitted he was feeling “petrified” about getting married when his friend Ty remarked that he seemed “scared” about it.

The reality star said he and his fiancee (who he proposed to last April) have spoken about feeling “scared” that their dynamic might change, especially since it “works so well ok” right now.

Matt said: “We’re all ‘Don’t fix what ain’t broke.’ We have everything moving.”

He continued: “We have nothing against the institution of marriage – we like it and have been married – but do we have to do exactly that?”

The Roloff Farms owner explained that right now, he and Caryn, 56, are simply taking their engagement day by day. “We don’t do anything outside the table,” the TV personality told her pals. “When we talk about it, we always say, ‘We’ll talk about it again in a few weeks or months or whatever.’

To reassure his friend who he has grown close to in recent years, Chris, 61, spoke candidly about how he experienced similar feelings before he and Amy tied the knot in 2021.

“I was worried about that too,” he revealed. “At 59, I didn’t feel like I needed to get married, but I heard so many stories from other couples who had been together for a long time and as soon as they got married, the relationship changed.”

“Fortunately, that didn’t happen,” the estate agent continued. “If anything, it’s gotten easier.”

Matt added: “We really respect and appreciate the concept of marriage and the principles behind it and are weighing all our options.”
