With only one item on the dinner entrée menu during the evening sessions, you only need to answer two questions. What size and how do you like your fillet cooked? My answer is always the same. Large and medium-rare.

Hand cut beef tenderloin, baked potatoes, toast and a salad with salad dressing made from scratch.

At the Alpine Inn, the kids weren’t forgotten with Kaes Spaetzle, grilled cheese and PB&J standbys.

Think you’re ready for dessert? You may want to make the file small because of the length of the list.

The lunch menu is quite different. You will be treated to delicious German specialties such as schnitzel, croissant sandwiches, homemade soups and hearty salads.

The Alpine Inn has a full range of Bavarian beers, wines and wine-based cocktails.

When in doubt, ask the locals where they like to eat. Your Black Hills vacation isn’t complete without a stop at the Alpine Inn.
