Brewers’ Yelich, Turang surprise Pick ‘n Save shoppers in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE – Shoppers at a Milwaukee grocery store got a big surprise on Friday, May 31st.

Brewers teammates Christian Yelich and Brice Turang were at the Pick ‘n Save near 76th and Good Hope. Not only did they buy groceries, they paid for everything in the cart.

“That’s cool,” Turang said. “The people of Milwaukee show up to our games, they support us, so it’s giving back to the people who support us.”

Friday’s surprise was part of the Brewery’s annual “Kindness in Milwaukee” initiative. Players, coaches and front office staff go beyond the diamond to surprise the people and nonprofits of southeastern Wisconsin with random acts of kindness.
