LaMar’s Donuts is trying for a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™️ title for the largest donut donation in one hour for National Donut Day

DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / May 31, 2024 / Get ready for an exceptional National Donut Day celebration on Friday, June 7 with LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee. In keeping with tradition, every visitor to LaMar’s Donuts will receive a free Glazed Original Ray donut. Additionally, LaMar’s will ramp up the festivities by hosting pop-up donut shops at multiple locations in Colorado, Missouri and Kansas.

However, the highlight of this year’s celebration is LaMar’s ambitious attempt to make history with the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®️™️ largest donut donation in one hour on June 7 at the Salvation Army Distribution Center.

National Donut Day is a celebration of the unifying power of our favorite breakfast pastries and has a surprising history spanning over seven decades.

History of National Donut Day: In 1938, National Donut Day originated as a fundraising initiative of the Salvation Army to help those affected by the Great Depression. In addition, it served as a tribute to the brave “Lassies” of the First World War, who gave donuts to the soldiers at the front in France. Since then, donuts have become a culinary symbol of community, bringing people closer together through shared fun.

Salvation Army Partnership: LaMar’s Donuts has joined forces with the Salvation Army for the past 14 years, hosting an annual National Donut Day fundraiser. This year, LaMar’s Donuts & Coffee is dedicated to supporting the tradition of National Donut Day by partnering with the Salvation Army to distribute donuts in our communities and engage customers in the celebration at each location.
