Fairfax County Police are investigating 2 break-ins at Springfield bike shop

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia (DC News Now) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said it is investigating two burglaries that happened within days of each other at the same bike shop in North Springfield.

FCPD believes the burglaries, which occurred at the Bicycle Pro Shop on Port Royal Road, may be related.

The first burglary took place on May 26. Officers responded to the store around 4 a.m. and found the front door of the store had been broken into. Over $9,000 worth of merchandise was taken.

Then on May 26, another burglary was reported at Bicycle Pro Shop. Police said shortly before 5 a.m., two suspects forced their way into the store by breaking down the front door. Almost $2,000 worth of products were taken.
