Franklin man charged with child pornography

James Drewry, 60, was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.

FRANKLIN, Va. — A man has been charged with possession of child pornography, the Franklin Police Department said.

James Drewry, 60, was arrested after detectives executed a search warrant for a residence in the 300 block of Robinhood and found several photographs of child pornography.

According to officials, the Franklin Police Department received a tip from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program about Drewry’s possession and distribution of child pornography.

Drewry was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. He is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to be transported to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
