The RedHawks kick off the series opener Friday night at the Milkmen

FARGO – Southwest Minnesota State product Chase McDaniel went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice fly and a walk in his professional debut Friday night as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks dropped an 8-1 decision to the Milwaukee Milkmen.

The Pahrump, Nev., native was signed earlier Friday and has been playing second base for Fargo-Moorhead.

Three Milkmen runs in the first inning got the home team back on track early, the RedHawks tacked on their only run of the game in the fourth inning on an RBI single from Jake Hjelle.

Milwaukee starter Shane Barringer got the win and Fargo-Moorhead starter Orlando Rodriguez took the loss.

The RedHawks-Milkmen series will continue Saturday night from the friendly confines of Newman Outdoor Field. The first release is scheduled for 19:02
