There is no love lost between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

Reese and Clark were fierce rivals in college, especially after attending last year’s national championship game.

On Saturday afternoon, Reese and Clark met for the first time in the WNBA, and an incident during the game infuriated Clark’s fans.

Late in the third quarter of the Sky-Fever game, Chennedy Carter laid Clark out of nowhere with a cheap foul after Sky scored a bucket.

After the game, Clark called Carter out for foul play.

“Yeah, that’s not a basketball play,” Clark said. “But you know I have to play through it, that’s what basketball at this level is about. I thought we were really physical, we missed some bunnies on the sideline, so hopefully those will fall in the fourth.”

Fans on social media noticed that Reese got off her chair and started cheering after Carter blindsided Clark.

It looks like Reese and Clark will be a great rivalry in the WNBA for years to come.
