SUV falls off bridge in Odisha’s Sambalpur: Two dead, 10 injured

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, two people lost their lives and ten others were injured when a Bolero fell off an under-constructed bridge at Jhankarpada, Khairapada, near Jujumara, Sambalpur late on Sunday night.

According to sources, the vehicle with more than ten passengers on board was on its way to Puri from Chhattisgarh when the driver accidentally drove into an incomplete bridge on an underpass above the elephant corridor on NH-55 connecting Sambalpur and Cuttack .

The injured passengers were quickly admitted to Burla Hospital for treatment.

Two deceased passengers have not yet been identified.

The local police have started an investigation into the matter. More details about the incident are awaited.
