WEST FARGO — West Fargo Parks is gearing up to host summer Bark in the Park for people and their pups.

The park district is once again teaming up with Three Dog Bakery for the free event, the park district said in a news release.

The event will be held at Rivers Bend Park, 2548 First St. E., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4.

Dogs will compete and receive awards for Best Dressed, Best Trick, Best Kiss, Most Damaging Tail and Owner/Dog Lookalike.

Bark in the Park T-shirts will be given to the first 125 people to show up.

Participants can make a free dog toy or accessory for their furry friend. Dog prizes will also be provided by Three Dog Bakery.

Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available while supplies last.

People interested in becoming a free vendor can visit the West Fargo Park District website or contact Brooke Zarling at [email protected].

Our newsroom occasionally reports articles under a “staff” moniker. Often the designation “staff” is used when rewriting basic news that comes from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and that requires little or no reporting. Sometimes this description is used when a story includes multiple authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If external sources are used, they are noted in the story.
