Moorhead Center Mall’s east entrance is closing for good

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) – Beginning Monday, June 3, the east entrance to Moorhead Center Mall on 7th Street is permanently closed.

Access to the mall and City Hall will be from 3rd Street, west, and this is now the only entrance and exit for all access to the building, including the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

The City of Moorhead is moving forward with a planned redevelopment site around Moorhead City Hall. The city says it has determined that remaining in the current City Hall building is the best use of that building to support the overall vision of that redevelopment.

The anticipated budget for the project is $20 million, including design fees, contingencies and contingencies. The project area is the existing building, including the ground floor area that is currently part of the Moorhead Center Mall.
