Morning shooter on the loose

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Sioux Falls police are investigating an early morning shooting that sent a teenager to the hospital.

Officers were called around 3 a.m. to an area on East 6th Street, just east of Veterans Parkway.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was meeting someone in an apartment parking lot.

When he got there, police say several people were in a car and at one point, one person pulled a gun and shot the teenager in the torso.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
