Aleda Chandler Obituary – Lafayette, CO (1929-2014)

Aleda Ellen Chandler, 85, of Louisville, died September 14, 2014 at Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness. He was born July 9, 1929 in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Lester H. and Elvertie E. Smith. She was the eldest of four children, including LaVeda Sears, Leland Smith and Herbert Smith. She was married to William E. Chandler on August 21, 1955 in Brighton, Colorado. She graduated with a degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. She was a teacher specialized in preschool education. She lived in Louisville for 55 years. She was active in her church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, William of Louisville, her daughters Becky (Tim) Logan of Commerce City, Yvonne (Kent) Spencer of Des Moines, Iowa, Jacque (Jay) Allen of Arvada, Colorado and son Jim (Gwynne) Chandler of Boise, Idaho. He had 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, LaVeda Sears of Greeley, Colorado. Her viewing will be held at Darrell Howe Mortuary in Lafayette on Wednesday, September 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 18, followed by a celebration of her life at 1:30 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Northglenn, Colorado.
