Hawthorn vs GWS Predictions, Tips & Odds – Round 13 AFL

Hawthorn will be looking to cause a third consecutive upset when they host GWS in the Apple Isle on Saturday afternoon.

After losing their first five games of the season, Sam Mitchell’s Hawks have turned their campaign around, winning four of their previous five games while playing excellent football.

Those wins came against the Western Bulldogs (seven points), St Kilda (five points), Brisbane (25 points) and Adelaide (27 points). Could he do it again?

They will enjoy playing in front of their home fans for the third week in a row and that will prove vital against better quality opposition the Giants, who caused their own upset before seeing off Geelong on the road.

Leek Aleer was the hero with a flying goal in the last minute to confirm the four points. Before their four-point win against Geelong, the Giants lost three games on the trot as they slowly lost their claim as minor contenders.

This will be the first time Hawthorn have played ‘at home’ against the Giants since 2019 when they beat GWS by 33 points. In fact, the last time these teams met in Tasmania, it ended in a draw…

Prediction: GWS by 10 points
