How do you celebrate Independence Day?

Whether it was sponsoring fireworks displays, coordinating parades or hosting family-friendly events, American Legion family members led the way in commemorating Independence Day in their communities a year ago.

There were also non-traditional celebrations, such as a veterans walk promoting Be the One and a blood drive. But all the events were geared towards one goal: celebrating the birthday of the United States of America.
