Softball Lee defeats Springfield International to advance to DV State Tournament | Local sports

LEE — Despite a late drive by Springfield International Charter School in the seventh inning, Lee took care of business Monday.

The 11th-seeded Wildcats defeated No. 22 SICS 7-1 in the opening round of the MIAA Division V State Tournament. It was a comeback after their 11-game winning streak was snapped last Wednesday by Turners Falls in Western Mass.
